We have a designated room for students to meet up, chat and relax. MetSoc’s Student Chair, Sidney Omelon, professor at McGill University and Co-Chair, Ali Nasiri, professor at Dalhousie University, will be present to answer any of your questions, give you recommendations, and guide you through the conference. This is a great space to meet others between sessions.

Student Travel Funding
The Student Travel Funding deadline is June 21, 2024.
Students winning this grant will be required to provide their social insurance number and address to CIM. All grants will be wire transferred AFTER the conference. Notifications of grants will be the first week of July.
Student Travel Funding
- The student activities budget assists in travel funding for student members of CIM enrolled in a Canadian university who wish to attend the conference.
- Any request by a student for travel funding must include a letter of support from their current supervisor (uploaded in the Google form).
- You must be travelling more than 500 km to be eligible for student travel funding. Priority is given to undergraduate students.
