We have streamlined the online experience for authors. You will use the same abstract management site to upload all information regarding presentations, authorization forms, photos, biographies and the video recording of your presentation.

You are required to fill electronically the contributor form, manually sign, scan/picture, and then upload to the access submission portal.

Deadlines

All authors must comply with the deadlines listed on this website.

Presentation

All accepted authors are expected to present in Montreal and will be asked to record their PowerPoint presentations on video for the conference mobile application before the on-site event.

Paper publication options

The conference is not collecting full papers for the publishing of Conference Proceedings.  Authors will have the option after the conference to submit a full paper to the CMQ journal (Canadian Metallurgical Quarterly).

Payment of fees by the deadline

Payment of fees by the deadline: MetSoc does not require a fee to submit an abstract. However, we count on your professionalism to pay your registration fee by March 15, 2025 if your abstract is accepted. Failure to pay by the stipulated deadline may result in the removal of your oral or poster from the program. Presenters of multiple presentations need only to register once.

Registration fees

Registration fees will vary between $1,300-1,400*CAD (930 USD/870 Euro approximately). 
Student fees will be $500-549* CAD (300 USD/280 Euro approximately).
Members of DGM and MetSoc/CIM will receive a discount.
