Deep Decarbonization Pathways for Pyrometallurgical Processes: Opportunities & Challenges

Objectives/Scope
This symposium covers all decarbonization-related efforts (multidisciplinary perspectives) across the pyrometallurgical industry. This includes efforts into fuel consumption optimization, energy-efficient technologies, applications of clean emerging renewable energy technologies in pyrometallurgical processes, Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA), recycling and waste treatment. Topics that directly or indirectly contribute to carbon-neutral metal production such as carbon capture and storage/utilization, alternative reduction sources, alternative renewable energy sources are welcomed.
Intended Audience
Industry, academia and governmental organization from all sectors of the pyrometallurgical industry, including iron and steel, ferroalloys, and non-ferrous metal production
