The Conference of Metallurgists #AnnualCOM is an annual event organized by MetSoc of CIM which rotates throughout Canada. COM also organizes Short Courses prior to the event and Plant Tours immediately following the annual conference.

The theme for 2023 was Climate change and sustainability. Following our back in-person conference, we offered more networking sessions, curated plenaries and panel discussions and hosted the second “Big Ideas” session.

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Uranium 2020 was hosted by COM 2020. The 59th Annual Conference of Metallurgists was transformed into MetSoc of CIM’s first virtual event.
