All oral authors MUST submit either a full (approx. 10 pages) paper or extended abstract (2-3 pages) paper for peer-review by March 22, 2021.
Please ensure that your paper or extended abstract complies with author guidelines.

You will use the same paper/abstract management site to upload all information regarding presentations, authorization forms, photos, biography, and your mandatory paper/extemded abstract (exception: optional for Plenary Speakers).
Authors must register and pay their fees before the deadline date to have their presentation(s) scheduled in the technical program and their Paper published. A full refund will be provided to authors who have registered but will not attend because their paper(s) is not accepted. All paid authors/presenters receive full access to the conference including the live presentations, on-demand presentations, and a copy of the Peer-reviewed electronic Proceedings.

Non-CIM Members Authors/Presenters:
Abstracts submitted as student presentations may register at the student rate after purchasing a CIM student membership $20
CIM National Members Authors/Presenters:
CIM National active members (regular, life, student) enjoy a discount on registration.
The Proceedings will be published in electronic format and digitally distributed.
Publication Copyright of Conference papers will be held by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum as you agree to when you submitted your abstract. Authors will be free to submit their work after the conference to a publication of their choice. If authors resubmit their paper to another publication, they must indicate that the paper was first published by CIM.
Note for Government Employees: Authors who work for the Government of Canada and have Crown copyrights may grant CIM permission to publish by sending their internal government form noting the paper title and authors duly signed. The copyright will remain with the Crown and CIM will publish the paper with permission.
The author assumes full responsibility for obtaining permission to publish any copyrighted or otherwise protected data and images. NOTE: The Conference Proceedings will not be indexed (e.g., Web of Science, Scopus).
